History of the hotel
Serras Sevilla is not just a design hotel in the historic center of Seville, it is a building with a fascinating history of its own. Housed in an architectural gem from the early 20th century, Serras Sevilla is among the most exquisite hotels with historical architecture in Seville. Designed as Casa Álvaro Dávila, by renowned Spanish architect Aníbal González between 1915 and 1917, the building is a celebrated example of Sevillian regionalism. Its storied past is etched into every detail, from the intricate craftsmanship to the iconic tower, the façade with its galleries of semicircular arches on white marble columns, typical of the Sevillian regionalist architectural style, and the polygonal staircase that spirals up the exterior of the building topped with a tiled hemispherical dome and iron cross.
